ASLA Chinatown Green Street Demonstration Project

The American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) chose Green Street of Washington, DC’s Chinatown neighborhood as a demonstration project to illustrate how innovative landscape design could beautify a city street while also managing stormwater runoff. The ultimate goal of this project is to provide a model to cities worldwide on greening their streets and also contributing positively to their citizens’ quality of life. We designed an identity system focused around the five stated goals of the project: Environment, Community, Economics, Leadership, and Art.
