EXPERIENCE


Derek is a New York-based multidisciplinary designer with extensive experience in all aspects of visual communication, including branding, environmental graphics and wayfinding, digital media, motion graphics, exhibition, and publication design.

He works closely with his clients in the creative, cultural, educational, and architectural sectors to inform, inspire, and empower their audiences. He applies an individualized approach to each project that builds upon his knowledge of fundamental design principles.

EDUCATION


In 2015, Derek graduated from Rowan University in Glassboro, New Jersey, where he received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with a Specialization in Graphic Design. In Fall 2020, he completed the Principles of Typeface Design course at The Cooper Union.


FEATURES


Derek’s work has been featured in AIGA’s Eye on Design, Communication Arts, Design Observer, Fast Company, GDUSA, Interior Design, It’s Nice That, PRINT, and Society for Experiential Design (SEGD). Most recently, his work for the first comprehensive monograph on influential modernist graphic designer Rudolph de Harak was the recipient of a Monocle Magazine Global Design Award.
