Smart Policies for a Changing Climate
The American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) convened a Blue Ribbon Panel on Climate Change and Resilience in the fall of 2017 to offer communities strategies for adapting to global climate change and its impacts on human health and the environment. The panel’s report, titled Smart Policies for a Changing Climate, identifies core principles, key planning and design strategies, and public policies that will promote healthy, climate-smart, and resilient communities.

To promote the initiative, we designed an exhibition featuring case studies demonstrating how landscape architecture helps communities become more resilient to climate change. The exhibition features solutions, recommendations, and principles from the report.
